Roman Alcester Heritage Centre

For a small town, Alcester certainly is one of the most archaeologically investigated in the country. The Alcester Heritage Centre aims to examine the history of this town and its archaeological finds, from the 1st to the 3rd centuries AD. Its school visit programme is influenced by the national curriculum, and run by retired primary school teachers. Some of the activities provided include:

 - Object handling
- Making mosaics
- Meeting a Roman soldier
- Trying on armour

The sessions allow for up to 60 children, and take place in a designated schoolroom on site.
