The Collection

We offer a fun and fantastic award-winning program of workshops for KS1 and KS2 children. We call this program Investigate, and this is what we would like children to do – find out about history for themselves within a framework of hands-on activities.

We cover Romans, Saxons, Vikings, Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece, as well as dinosaurs (based around our fossilized plesiosaur skeleton). Other workshops are available on request.

The Big Dig allows children to learn about archaeology and handle real and replica objects. Our Roman marching is epic, our Greek plays are legendary and staff-led tours showcase the real objects within a local and national context.
